We want to recognize Dr. Vincent Kokich upon his recent appointment as the new Editor of the American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics. All of us at The Angle Orthodontist wish him the very best. We are delighted for him as he reinvents himself and begins a new career. However, it is a two-edged sword as we now will lose him after 21 years of contributions as the editor of our What's New in Dentistry column in The Angle Orthodontist. For almost 20 years now, the profession and our journal has benefited from his more catholic view of orthodontics. A number of people have commented that What's New in Dentistry is the first thing they read when their copy of our journal arrives. He manages to translate basic substantive thinking into clinically applied ideas and relate them in a language understood by everyone.

Dr. Kokich has clearly led the way in showing, by practice and deed, a dynamic interrelationship between the delivery of orthodontic care and the services of other dental professionals. No one has ever been in greater demand as a feature speaker than Vince. Dr. Kokich has lived a model career both personally and professionally and is one of the outstanding leaders in orthodontics and dentistry. No one has been more widely acclaimed as a speaker with his extensive and broad knowledge of dentistry and orthodontics. He has always presented new and fresh ideas to his audiences.

All of us send you our warmest regards and best wishes for your continued success. We also thank you for your many contributions to our profession.
