The spirit of the Bayer-Snoeyenbos New Investigator Award is to recognize new and upcoming investigators. The award is presented to a member or associate member of AAAP whose career as an independent investigator in poultry medicine began less than 7 yr ago and who during this time has made meritorious research contributions to the avian field. This award is named in memory of Dr. Glenn Snoeyenbos, because of his excellent contributions to avian medical research, and in recognition of the ongoing financial support that the Bayer Poultry Business Unit provides for this award.

The 2014 Bayer-Snoeyenbos New Investigator Award recipient was Dr. Naola Ferguson-Noel.
