To satisfy my ASA reaccreditation requirements, I just finished taking the On-Demand seven-hour USPAP update designed for the Business Valuation Discipline. The course was developed and taught by Carla Glass, FASA, and Jay E. Fishman, FASA. The 2014–2015 USPAP document (provided free with your subscription to the on-demand course) is 394 pages long and quite intimidating at first glance. However, as Carla will tell you during the course, as a business valuation member of the ASA, “there are only 36 pages [of standards] that you really need to know.” The remainder of the document deals with the other disciplines, with advisory opinions, and with frequently asked questions....
