I hope those of you who were able to attend the conference in Houston benefited from it. In case you didn't notice, the presenters have achieved prominence in our profession by specialization. They may be able to do most things well, but they also have high levels of expertise in some area. In my own firm, the most successful people are those who have technical expertise or industry expertise.
