FOR many years Copeia, now Ichthyology & Herpetology, has had a “Comments” manuscript category. This has been used on occasion with opinion pieces and critiques. This category has not been used extensively or at the level that we would like. As such, we are going to make two changes moving forward. First, we will be changing its name from “Comments” to “Points of View.” We will continue to solicit critiques and debates that were the basis of most of our Comments. At the same time, we will expand the content that is solicited for this series. This category will now be open to compilations of natural history or research synopses, opinion pieces, and other publishable points of view that are relevant to the biology of amphibians, reptiles, and fishes. As always, these will be formally peer-reviewed manuscripts....
