Its scope was restricted to Washington State and it contained little information of general interest to ichthyologists. This second edition, however, is much more than a regional handbook. As the cover proclaims, it is revised and expanded. The publishers were not exaggerating! This new edition contains 91 detailed species accounts. In addition, there are 14 appendices that cover topics ranging from checklists and distribution data for adjacent jurisdictions (Idaho, Oregon, and British Columbia) to tables of fish age and growth.
