Abstract
Determination of the cost of corrosion is not a simple, straightforward job. A part of the problem depends on what is meant by corrosion and what is meant by cost. This paper is a guide for isolating the cost of corrosion. By also taking into account the effects of taxes and the time value of money, a measure is obtained of the cost of corrosion which is credible, and which is meaningful in relation to other costs and the net earnings of an organization. 1.2.2
