Abstract
This research is sponsored by an NACE Fellowship Grant to the University of Florida and provides partial support for R. H. Heidersbach. The project, directed by E. D. Verink, involves the use of a unique combination of experimental methods which include special X-ray techniques and quantitative metallographic techniques using the microprobe. The purpose is to clarify the mechanism of de-alloying. This is a quarterly report submitted in July, 1970 by the Metallurgical Research Laboratory of the Engineering and Industrial Experiment Station, University of Florida, Gainesville. A previous report was published in the May, 1970 issue of Corrosion, Vol. 26, p 217.
