The Herpetologists’ League (HL) congratulates all the individuals who were evaluated as part of the Graduate Research Award. The winners of the 2023 competition are as follows:
Winner.—Briar Hunter, Laurentian University, “Egg Binding in Amphibians: Insight from Canada’s Most Endangered Anuran, the Oregon Spotted Frog (Rana pretiosa).”
First runner up.—Callie Golba, Northern Illinois University, “What Matters for the Survival of Head-Started Blanding’s Turtles?”
Winner.—The HL congratulates Anna Tipton from the University of Texas at El Paso for a winning proposal entitled “The Influence of Artificial Light at Night on the Predatory Behavior of Eastern Black-Tailed Rattlesnakes (Crotalus ornatus) in the Northern Chihuahuan Desert.”
