This analysis seeks to codify syncretistic culture changes, whether they arise within one society (endogenously) or otherwise (exogenously), and whether or not performed consciously (directedly). Omitted from the present article are the following factors, which, although concededly important, may be codified separately: change causes, sources, channels; identification of ethos and eidos; changeability of the society and of the innovation; change phases; non-syncretistic change processes; acceptance priorities; change procedures. For ethics, see Society for Applied Anthropology.
