Washington, DC—Doreen Croser retired as Executive Director of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) in June 2010, following a distinguished 22-year tenure in the position. Past presidents of AAIDD have issued statements in Doreen's honor.

“I have fond recollections of being a part of the search committee that recommended to the Board that Doreen be hired as Executive Director. At the time, none of us knew her very well other than by reputation or casual contact at meetings. What struck me immediately was the rapport we felt when she started addressing our questions.
