The practice of yoga therapeutics is still very much in its infancy in the United States. While there are increasing numbers of teachers being trained in the art of yoga therapeutics,we are all still, admittedly, learning and defining our craft. With this in mind, I would like to discuss the widest possible aspect of yoga therapeutics: the context, or "canvas," of the student-teacher relationship where our art is practiced.
