Introduction to the Special Issue on Centering the Voices of People With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in the Process and Outcomes of Science

This article introduces a Special Issue focused on centering the voices of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the process and outcomes of science. The article provides an overview of the right to science and how inclusive research can advance that right for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. An overview of the articles that are part of the Special Issue are provided, as is a framework for approaching inclusive research from a social-ecological perspective.
