Each year, IDDB invites applications for 1-year, part-time, volunteer editorial fellowships beginning August 1, from medical professionals who have an interest in medical publishing and digital health. Fellows will gain knowledge and skills in writing, peer reviewing, proofreading, and disseminating content via social media and other outlets by engaging with the IDDB Editorial Board.
Applications for the 2025-26 fellowship will be accepted beginning January 1, 2025.
Requirements:
• Junior physician who has completed a residency program or medical researcher (PhD researcher or post-doc)
• Willingness to dedicate 1-4 hours per week for the Journal
• 2 or more publications in peer-reviewed journals is preferred
Responsibilities:
• Assist the Editor with peer review assignments• Interview authors and industry experts
• Increase awareness about IDDB among colleagues
Fellowship completion depends on participating in monthly meetings and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner. The time commitment is approximately 1-5 hours per week. Fellows can work remotely from any location.
