ISIM Editorial Fellowship

ISIM invites applications for 1-year, part-time, volunteer editorial fellowships beginning August 1st from health professionals who have an interest in scholarly publishing surgical and interventional medicine articles. Fellows will gain knowledge and skills in writing, peer reviewing, proofreading, and disseminating content via social media and other outlets by engaging with the ISIM Editorial Board.  

Applications for 2025-2026 will be accepted after January 1, 2025. 

Requirements: 

•    Physicians who in training or completed training within the past 5 years
•    Interest in surgical or interventional specialties 
•    Willingness to perform above tasks and dedicate 1-4 hours per week for the Journal.

Responsibilities: 

•    Assist the Editor with peer review assignments
•    Interview authors and industry experts
•    Increase awareness about ISIM among colleagues

Fellowship completion depends on participating in monthly meetings and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner. The time commitment is approximately 1-5 hours per week. Fellows can work remotely from any location.
