Editorial Fellowship for the Global Journal on Quality and Safety in Healthcare
Overview
The Global Journal on Quality and Safety in Healthcare (JQSH) invites applications for two 1-year, part-time, volunteer editorial fellowships beginning August 1, 2022 from health professionals who have an interest in scholarly publishing and quality improvement science and healthcare delivery science. Fellows will gain knowledge and skills in the publication process including writing, peer reviewing, proofreading, and disseminating content via social media, among others. Applications must be received by July 1, 2022.
Responsibilities / Duties:
• Attend virtual monthly Editor meeting to learn about medical journal office operations
• Attend virtual annual Editorial Board meeting
• Attend special webinars and read recommended educational materials to learn about publishing ethics, peer review, and tools for proofreading and content dissemination
• Peer review articles as assigned
• Engage in social media (create and share various types of content)
• Explore and introduce ideas that will increase the reach and impact of the journal
Requirements:
• Health professional who completed training within the past 5 years (including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, quality improvement staff, healthcare administrators, allied health professionals)
• Must have an interest in healthcare delivery science, quality improvement, and health innovation
• Further training in quality improvement and patient safety preferred
• Willingness to perform above tasks and dedicate 1-4 hours per week for the Journal.
Fellows can work remotely from any location.
