Each year, JQSH invites applications for 1-year, part-time, volunteer editorial fellowships beginning August 1, 2022 from health professionals who have an interest in scholarly publishing and quality improvement science and healthcare delivery science. Fellows will gain knowledge and skills in writing, peer reviewing, proofreading, and disseminating content via social media and other outlets by engaging with the JQSH Editorial Board.  

Applications for 2025-2026 will be accepted after January 1, 2025. 

Requirements

Health professional who completed training within the past 5 years preferred (including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, quality improvement staff, healthcare administrators, allied health professionals)

Must have an interest in healthcare delivery science, quality improvement, and health innovation

Further training in quality improvement and patient safety preferred

Willingness to perform above tasks and dedicate 1-4 hours per week for the Journal.

Responsibilities: 

Assist the Editor with peer review assignments

Interview authors and industry experts

Increase awareness about JIPO among colleagues


Fellowship completion depends on participating in monthly meetings and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.

The time commitment is approximately 1-5 hours per week. Fellows can work remotely from any location.
