The following policies and processes apply to all Innovations Journals.

Articles published in Innovations Journals are distributed under the terms of the latest Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND) License unless otherwise specified in writing or if an exception applies (noted below). Under this license, authors and others are permitted to share (copy and redistribute) their work for non-commercial purposes, as long as appropriate credit is given. If desired, authors may purchase a CC-BY license for a fee. Contact the editorial office for current pricing.

Innovations Journals permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional/subject-based repository.

Permission must be requested for modifications and commercial reuse of material published in Innovations Journals. All requests for permission to reprint or modify material published in the Innovations Journals should be directed to the Publishing Manager: .

Copyright Exceptions:

  1. Authors who are college and university faculty or work for corporations should determine whether the author or institutions owns copyright for “work for hire”.
  2. If the Contribution was prepared as part of the Contributor’s official duties under a government contract or grant for the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia, then this work is within the public domain and no copyrights may be owned by the author or publisher. The respective government may reproduce, without charge, all portions of the article, and may authorize others to do so for official government purposes. Copyright assignment applies only to the extent allowable by law.
