The inaugural scientific session of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (ACVB) was held this year on July 20th in conjunction with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) conference in Denver. Papers were selected from among those submitted by members of the ACVB, residents, and veterinarians who are working in an ACVB-approved specialty training program. Abstracts have been peer reviewed by the program committee of the ACVB. As you can see from the variety of topics in the abstracts below, behaviorists are active in a wide range of scientific endeavors, from clinical practice to teaching and research, and with a variety of species including companion animals, farm animals, horses, and laboratory animals.
