Those of you who weren't able to make it to the 2018 Association for Vascular Access (AVA) Scientific Meeting in Columbus, Ohio, missed out on a fabulous four days in the Midwest. The number of clinical attendees broke four digits for the first time ever, helping make it AVA's largest meeting to date.

As a native Ohioan and current Columbus resident, the positive feedback I received on the education, networking opportunities, convention center, and food are humbling and reinforces my love for the city I call home. Additionally, my conversations with attendees about the Journal of the Association for Vascular Access (JAVA) reenergized me to keep pushing forward on improving it as we barrel toward 2019.
