I believe we are on the cusp of another revolution in vascular access. Can you feel it? The momentum and energy to drive change and make vascular access as safe as possible are palpable across the world, not just in the United States and certainly not just in my home state of Wisconsin. The staff and volunteers of the Association for Vascular Access (AVA) drive its mission to lead healthcare by protecting patients and providers to improve lives. As is often the case, however, one must look back in order to look forward.
