Greetings from a snowy New York City in early February 2021. The snowstorm today is a full-on, whiteout nor’easter. For those who do not live in the United States, a nor’easter is a weather pattern that dumps a significant amount of snow (up to 18 inches today), has wild wind gusts (up to 60 miles per hour today), and makes all modes of travel difficult if not dangerous (travel advisories in effect in the upper Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and New England regions of the US).
