The 21st century is an era from “industrial civilization” to “ecological civilization”. Low carbon urbanization has become one of the most concerned social and economic phenomena, which is an important topic in the study of urban development in China. China is a big ocean country with a long coastline of 18000 kilometers. Therefore, it is very important to study the marine low-carbon urbanization ecosystem in China. The theory of complex ecosystem is a kind of man-made ecosystem which is dominated by human behavior. It takes natural environment, resources and social system as auxiliary system, and organically combines the economic, social and ecological problems of urbanization. First of all, based on the composite ecosystem, this paper studies the industrial ecosystem of marine low-carbon cities, which is an important direction of the development of modern society. Firstly, this paper analyzes the basic concept of complex ecosystem and the process of urbanization. Then, this paper analyzes the characteristics of low-carbon city industry. Finally, this paper constructs the ecosystem of marine low-carbon cities.
