The development of marine resources and marine logistics has driven the rapid development of the shipbuilding industry. Marine vessels would consume huge amount of fossil energies and cause pollution to the marine environment easily. The research on solar photovoltaic power generation technology has already achieved positive progress, however, there are few researches on its application in marine vessel systems. Automatic power matching technology can achieve impedance matching for variable-frequency matching circuits, based on this technology, this paper optimized and designed a set of photovoltaic power generation system suitable for marine vessels, and adopted the Simulink software to simulate it. The research results showed that the proposed system is technically and economically feasible. The hardware design process focused on the grid connection of the marine vessel power grid system and the photovoltaic power generation system. The simulation results showed that the power of the marine vessel network system must be the same as the load power so as to maintain the stability of the voltage, power, grid frequency and voltage regulator modulation index. The research in this paper provided a theoretical basis for applying automatic power matching technology in the design of marine vessel photovoltaic power generation system.
