Studying the influencing factors of collaborative innovation performance in online knowledge communities has important significance for the better development of knowledge platform enterprises and their participants. According to the MOA theory, this paper divides the participants into knowledge contributors and knowledge seekers, and studies the influence of their motivations on the performance of knowledge innovation based on online communities, and considers the moderating effects of knowledge absorptive capacity and opportunity factors on the relationship between motivation and performance. The results show that in the collaborative innovation activities of online knowledge communities, in addition to the sharing willingness of knowledge contributors, the motivational factors all have a significantly positive impact on performance; except the moderating effect of collaborative innovation atmosphere on the participation motivation and performance of knowledge contributors is not significant, the moderating effect of other moderating variables on the motivation and performance of both parties is significant at different levels. Based on this, the paper proposes several recommendations for management.
