Ship transport is one of the most important transportation modes in China. Its intelligence-based development has become a trend in the shipping field. The core of fuzzy control is the process of making decisions using computers to imitate the thinking of the human brain. This research attempted to improve the intelligence level of the ship trajectory control. To that end, the MATLAB simulation system was used to study the ship trajectory control system based on the fuzzy control theory. The research results show that, compared with proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control, the fuzzy control system has greater robustness and less deviation; it has a better application effect on the design of the ship trajectory control system. The research findings promote the application of fuzzy theory in ship trajectory control system and provide a theoretical basis for ship autonomous navigation.
