Microwave technology has been widely used in the food industry, but the influence of microwave heated food on human health is being questioned. The female KM mice was chosen to be treated with microwave heated milk (MM) and the animal’s reproductive status such as litter size, birth rate, survival rate, ovarian index were tested in the research. With longer term feeding, the reproductive status of KM mice treated with microwave heated milk (MM) did not significantly change (such as body weight, birth rate, litter size, neonatal survival rate, IPI, SOD and CAT activity in the brain) except for ovarian index (F0) which was decreased significantly compared with the control group and EM group. In conclusion, longer term consumption of microwave heated milk influenced the ovarian index of mice reproduction.
