A proposed method of standardizing shock machines in terms of the spectral fidelity of their shock accelerations is presented. The paper provides enough SRS theory to aid the reader in understanding the proposed method and in evaluating the results. A set of normalized SRS spectra for nominal pulses of the types used on shock machines is described. Finally, the paper presents a five-step procedure for the use of analysis and comparison with expected SRS results for the nominal shock machine acceleration pulses.
