With this issue of the journal, I am marking my seventh and final year as editor. I am pleased to announce that beginning with volume 17, Dimitris Anastasiou and Rashida Banerjee will be taking over as editors. I have worked closely with Dimitris and Rashida for several years and I am confident that they will be able to move the journal forward. In my opinion, the journal is in tremendous shape. The amount and quality of the submissions is increasing exponentially every year. During my first year as editor in 2007, we received less than five submissions over the course of one year; currently we will most likely receive over thirty submissions in 2013. Receiving so many more submissions allows the editor to publish only the best manuscripts, and I think that the readership has seen the steady improvement over the years.
