Dental practitioners are often caught in a dilemma when they have to decide between immediate and early implant placement after tooth extraction. It is prudent to plan early implant placement when the morphology of the sight prevents an optimal immediate implant placement, or a thin soft tissue biotype; also, a thin bone wall phenotype would make the implant therapy unpredictable due to the resorption of the buccal bony plate.
