There is an increased demand for aesthetic restorations with healthy peri-implant soft tissue. A prefabricated anatomical healing abutment may predictably help clinicians achieve stable, functional, and aesthetic peri-implant soft tissue.1,2  In addition, anatomical abutments should simulate the subgingival contour of the replaced tooth. Therefore, in our previous study, 989 tooth cross sections were measured at the cementoenamel junction, and the contour was modeled by a novel mathematical algorithm. Based on the measured data, prototypes of the anatomic healing abutments were designed and fabricated by CADCAM for various tooth types. This article presented 2 split-mouth cases using the prototypes or a conventional circular healing abutment at a similar tooth position on the contralateral site.
