Abstract
Dentists who begin placing dental implants need to develop skills in grafting. These skills will assist the practitioner in providing future options to the patient. Due to the many variables involved in the case presented, a decision was made that offered benefits to the patient following an insult to the existing teeth and alveolar structures. Due to the emergency nature of the treatment and to the introduction of a protocol that took into consideration the preservation of the patients bony architecture and the manner in which restorative procedures were utilized, this case contains information that may be of benefit to the general practitioner.
