Archiving Policy

Journal of Herpetology does not allow self or institutional archiving because the publication of the journal is funded almost entirely by the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles, which is a dues-based membership society. Posting articles online would decrease our revenue, making it difficult to continue quality publication. If an author would like to designate their paper as open access by paying the $150 fee, they may then post it anywhere they see fit. Thank you for your understanding and for abiding by the policy.
