Dear colleagues, good morning, afternoon, or evening to everyone who connected today to this virtual meeting from your respective locations on this continent or elsewhere.
This year's meeting seems to be putting an emphasis on novel approaches and methodologies. We all listened to 3 outstanding talks at yesterday's symposium demonstrating several different ways and creative strategies of using some of the novel approaches to address a broad array of fascinating questions. More discussion and information on the subject will be provided at the student symposium. My talk may serve as a bridge between these 2 events.
