Fellow members and guests of the American Society of Parasitologists, it is with great pleasure that I present Ms. Lee Couch with the American Society of Parasitologists' 2021 Distinguished Service Award. This award is presented by ASP to honor one of its members who, through dedicated efforts and sustained giving of time and talents, has significantly enhanced the effectiveness of the Society and promoted the discipline of parasitology. It is self-evident from Lee's professional background that she has a long-standing investment in helping the membership, officers, committees, and, importantly, students of ASP. As also evidenced by the detailed letters outlining her contributions to ASP—Dr. Shelly Michalski from University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, Dr. Kelli Sapp from High Point University, Dr. Reginald Blaylock from the University of Southern Mississippi, and Dr. Stephen Bullard from Auburn University—it was not a difficult undertaking to enthusiastically detail her dedication to our society.
