The 98th Annual Business Meeting was called to order by President Tamara Cook at 1449 hr Central Daylight Time (CDT) on Sunday, 16 July 2023 in Salons II and III of the Intercontinental Hotel. President Cook made her opening remarks, commenting on proceedings from the Council meeting held on 13 July 2023 and making a few last-minute reminders to the members. She recognized the new officers and Council members at large and the Nominating and Tellers Committee members for 2023–2024 and thanked the outgoing officers, Council members, and Nominating and Tellers Committee for their service to the Society (see the Council meeting booklet for lists of these individuals). President Cook thanked the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for a job well done in hosting our 98th annual American Society of Parasitologists (ASP) meeting.
