It is an unbelievable honor to be able to introduce the 2024 Eminent Parasitologist awardee, Dr. Robert Poulin. The Eminent Parasitologist award is given every 2 years and celebrates an individual who has influenced our discipline throughout their career. Recipients have conducted important and insightful research and have disseminated their knowledge generally through numerous landmark papers that provided valuable insights to colleagues and students and contributed to the growth and recognition of the field through their mentorship and collaboration.
This year’s recipient hit those marks … and then some … and then some. Robert has asked me not to be too effusive but to quote Joe Friday from Dragnet fame, these are “just the facts, ma’am.”
