Motion #1—Acceptance of minutes of the 90th Council Meeting, 2000.
Motion #2—Whereas the expense of the attending ASP conferences is a limiting factor particularly for students and for some faculty, and whereas recent venues and those planned in the near fututre have been or will be expensive, we move that future meetings be scheduled at university campuses or be planned with a reduction in member expenditures. We believe that this will result in an increase in attendance and membership in ASP by students and faculty.
This motion, made by Cindy Cordery of the Rocky Mountain Conference of Parasitologists, was tabled and discussed later. It was changed to a Recommendation to the Site Selection committee to take into consideration the expenses for students attending the meetings.
