Abstract
Two species of Africana Tavassos, 1920 (Africana kinixysae n. sp. and Africana congoensis n. sp.) are described from Kinixys erosa (Schweigger, 1812) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy studies revealed morphological differences in the structure of the male caudal end and cephalic end, which helped to differentiate these new species from the other species of the genus, and from each other. A key for determination of all species in the genus is provided.
