The business meeting was called to order by President Steven Nadler at approximately 1505 hr on Monday, 30 June 2008, in the Statler/ Waldorf rooms of the Arlington Hilton. President Nadler changed the order of business and declared the first part of the meeting would be devoted to awards presentations (see below); other ASP business followed. After the awards were presented, President Nadler thanked the membership for attending the meeting and for their support during the past year, announced the incoming officers and the Nominating Committee members, and thanked the outgoing Council Members-at-Large and outgoing Nominating Committee members. He also thanked organizations and individuals providing support for the meetings and the Coccidiosis Conference, as well as donations to the Student Travel Fund auction by the Anchorage, Alaska, Convention and Visitors Bureau.
