“Giardia and Cryptosporidium: From molecules to disease” is a compilation of 38 chapters by various experts on these protozoa. The book is 502 pages long and contains an index that is useful in quickly finding the subject one is interested in examining. The book has 6 co-editors and 101 contributors. These experts have done a commendable job of reviewing the biology of these important human pathogens and in presenting the current state of research on these parasites. Two of the chapters contain new research findings. Each chapter has an abstract, and they generally end with some concluding statements or description of the need for future research on the topic.
