Announcing the 86th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Parasitologists, Sheraton Anchorage Hotel and Spa, Anchorage, Alaska, June 1–4, 2011

The site for our 86th annual meeting is indeed a vacationer's paradise. Anchorage is the largest city in Alaska, with a population of over 260,000. Covering nearly 2,000 square miles from Portage Glacier on the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet to the historic native village of Eklutna on the Knit Arm, Anchorage provides a rich array of some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine. Framed on the north by Mt. McKinley and the agriculturally-rich Matanuska-Susitna Valley, on the south by the Kenai Peninsula, the east by Prince William Sound, and on the west by Cook Inlet and the great Alaska Range, Anchorage also offers a host of day-venture tours for our meeting participants.
