President Eric S. Loker called the meeting to order at 0800 hr and noted that a quorum was present. Council members and other attendees introduced themselves, and President Loker made a few opening remarks. He then recognized the new officers for 2013–2014: president, John Janovy, Jr.; president elect, David Lindsay; vice president, Mark Siddall; council members-at-large, Stephen (Ash) Bullard and Agustín Jiménez-Ruiz (2013–2017); Nominating Committee, Sarah Bush (chair), Matt Bolek, Claire Healy, Tim Goater, Cam Goater, and Megan Wise de Valdez (alternate); and student representative, Heather Stigge (2013–2014). President Loker expressed his appreciation to outgoing council members-at-large, Mark Siddall and Scott Snyder; outgoing student representative, Lauren Camp; and outgoing Nominating Committee, Susan Perkins (chair), Matt Bolek, Cynthia Church, Ben Hanelt, Jeffrey Laursen, and Vasyl Tkach (alternate).
