The 2012 CPNP Annual Meeting to be held April 29-May 2 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside in Tampa, Florida, is really beginning to take shape as you can see at cpnp.org/2012. True to the theme of Making Waves in Neuropsychiatric Pharmacy Practice, this meeting will feature topics and speakers that will challenge you, make you think in different ways, and incite you to act.

Since speakers and sessions are not fully confirmed, we can't reveal all of the details at this time. For a sneak peek…

  1. We will offer over 25 hours of ACPE and CME approved programming for you to choose from—more than ever before.

  2. A day-long MTM Private Practice Boot Camp is tentatively planned as this year's pre-meeting workshop. Featuring instruction by 2011 Keynote Speaker Dr. Linda Strand, this workshop will offer a hands-on, concentrated day of focus on how to create and implement the core components of a private MTM practice.

  3. Several keynote addresses from leading experts in the field will be offered including a kick-off keynote by Barbara Wells, current Dean of the University of Mississippi, on the topic of “Leadership Lessons Learned.”

  4. Member driven programming offering practical tools will continue such as those provided by the Clinical Pearls program.

  5. Five hours of BCPP recertification programming will continue to be provided at the meeting.

  6. Over 140 posters are anticipated for Sunday and Monday's (April 29-30) scientific poster sessions.

  7. Numerous networking activities will encourage you to connect with long-time and new colleagues and peers.

  8. Our urban host hotel in downtown Tampa is not only located on the water but is an easy walk to numerous local attractions including St. Pete Times Forum and Channelside entertainment district. Check out our Tampa Top Ten for all that is available right outside the doors of the Tampa Marriott Waterside.

Mark your calendars now for this exciting event and be monitoring the CPNP website at cpnp.org/2012 for more information on what I guarantee will be an excellent program!
