I am very pleased to recognize Dr Margaret Webb for her outstanding ability and motivation, which allows her to perform restorative dentistry in an exceptionally refined manner that is beautiful to see. It is especially appropriate that she receive this recognition at the first joint meeting of the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators and the Academy of RV Tucker Study Clubs.

Margaret is a 1984 dental graduate of the University of British Columbia, where she was awarded the Lorin Lind Memorial Prize for Restorative Dentistry and the BC Prosthodontic Award. She has served the Dental Association in many capacities during her years in practice. Margaret is married to husband, Gordon, and has three children of high school age, all who have excelled in sports activities.

Margaret has been very active in study club work in both the Vancouver Ferrier Gold Foil Study Club and the Vancouver and District Crown and Bridge Study Club. She has taught the Tucker Inlay Course at UBC and has lectured in Germany and Hawaii. She has made a special effort to teach our conservative gold techniques to students at the University of British Columbia.

For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of seeing Dr Webb operate at two study clubs each month. She is a perfectionist in both castings and direct gold and is an inspiration to all with whom she works. For all of this, and for her gracious attitude, it is a special honor for me to award Dr Margaret Webb the Clinician of the Year Award from the American Academy of Gold Foil Operators. Please join me in congratulating Margaret on receiving this honor for her outstanding clinical expertise.
