General Submission Rules

Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to Bulletin of the Southern California Academy of Sciences, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Bulletin of the Southern California Academy of Sciences. When submitting an article please include in you cover letter five potential reviewers with their email addresses. For initial submissions to be reviewed add line numbers to the manuscript. Also, acknowledge how you want to account for publication costs and associated policies. Page charges are $100/page. Society members can request waived page charges if they do not have publication funds.
