The Texas Heart Institute Journal is published bimonthly by the Texas Heart® Institute, Houston, Texas (ISSN 1526-6702). The Journal was printed under the name of Cardiovascular Diseases from 1974 through 1981 (ISSN 0093-3546). The name was changed to Texas Heart Institute Journal in 1982, and the Journal was printed through 2013 (ISSN 0730-2347). It is indexed by Index Medicus/MEDLINE and by other indexing and abstracting services worldwide.
The statements and opinions expressed in the Texas Heart Institute Journal are those of their authors and are not necessarily those of the Texas Heart Institute Journal, the Texas Heart Institute, the Texas Heart Institute Foundation, or affiliated institutions.
The Texas Heart Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the study and treatment of disease of the heart and blood vessels, has affiliations with CHI St. Luke’s Health, Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Rice University, University of Houston, and the University of Texas System.

Back issues through 2013 can be ordered for $18 per copy, unless the issue has been declared out of print.
