The fourth edition of the AmeriDendro conference was held in Montréal, Canada, between June 27 and June 30, 2022, at the Coeur des Sciences of the Université du Québec à Montréal. Consistent with previous editions of this international event (Vancouver 2008; Tucson 2012; Mendoza 2016), the 2022 conference brought together members of the tree-ring community from the Americas and abroad, and delivered a stimulating set of workshops, symposia, talks, and activities relating to tree-ring sciences. In total, AmeriDendro 2022 gathered 200 participants from 27 different countries (Figure 1).
The 2022 AmeriDendro conference was organized and held under circumstances fraught with uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. During the two years preceding the conference, scientists around the world had to cope with difficulties engendered by this global public health emergency.
