Information dissemination is vital for improving links between rehabilitation research and clinical practice. In spinal cord injury (SCI) practice, access to objective resources is critical to counter media coverage of medical breakthroughs with reliable information that conveys the true availability of new techniques. Electrical stimulation (ES), the application of low-level electrical current to restore function or improve health, is a rehabilitation tool with very broad application in the field of SCI in both traditional and innovative forms. Information resources on ES for members of the SCI treatment team are described to create awareness of the current status of ES technology and to provide access to learning opportunities.
