After two years of service, Dr. William V. Mars has decided to step down as editor of Tire Science and Technology). Prior to his tenure as editor, Will served on the editorial board (starting in 2003), as member-at-large on the Society’s executive committee, and as program chair in 2004. Will led the implementation of online journal services, which were offered for the first time in 2006, and which have brought the journal’s content to a much wider audience. Will currently leads the Materials Physics Group in the Research Department at Cooper Tire & Rubber Co, in Findlay, Ohio. Cooper has been his professional home since 1992.
