Three-toed box turtles (Terrapene carolina triunguis) brought to the Wildlife Rescue Center from the greater St. Louis area. (A) Turtles are coded by type of injury: 1) trauma by motor vehicle, 2) trauma by other machinery, 3) disease, 4) injury by domesticated animals, 5) uninjured but trapped/kept as pets, and 6) injuries possibly due to natural causes.
